Bud's Ice Cream of San Francisco.
In 1932, founders Bud Scheidelman and his cousin, Alvin Edlin, took up their first job in an ice cream parlor after their school days. They subsequently opened their own ice cream store.
When World War II broke out, they both joined the army. Did they sell the store?? When the war ended in 1946, Bud and Alvin opened the new Bud's Ice Cream store in San Francisco. In the mid-1950's, when a similar ice cream store opened across the street, Alvin was forced to make a decision on the future of his business. Alvin decided to expand Bud's Ice Cream, with emphasis on high quality.
To this day, Bud's Ice Cream is still committed to only the finest and freshest ingredients. Their popular slogan is "The finest ingredients and too much of them".
Time Magazine has described Bud's Ice Cream as
"ONE OF THE WORLD'S BEST ICE CREAMS."
